Alanna Tran is a Vietnamese-American cosmetic chemist and founder of BiotechBeauty®. A human biology and biochemistry graduate from UC Berkeley with experience in clinical skincare at Biossance and makeup innovation at L’Oréal, she spent years frustrated by how traditional makeup ignored skin health — and caused breakouts or irritation on her own sensitive, acne-prone skin.
After years of research, clinical collaboration, and formulation trials, Alanna created BiotechBeauty® to prove that high-performance color and clinical skin safety could finally coexist.
