Bloomeffects was born from Kim’s transformative move to the Netherlands. With decades of experience in the cosmeceutical industry, Kim was inspired by the Dutch way of living based on a balanced lifestyle, seasonal beauty, and the embrace of sustainability, as well as the EU’s rigorous beauty and agricultural standards. Seeking relief for her eczema-prone skin, Kim was awarded two Dutch government grants in research and discovered the compounds in her family’s tulips that could be used in skincare. Bloomeffects was created to harness the botanical power of upcycled tulips from her family farm, embodying a philosophy that is conscious and rooted in nature.
H.M. van Haaster, Kim’s husband’s (Hein) fourth generation family farm, is the source of our prized Proprietary Dutch Tulip Complex. Founded in 1905 by Hein’s great grandfather of the same name, H.M. van Haaster continues to grow and export award winning, royal blooms from the Netherlands to the world. Annually it hosts our Bloomeffects festival ‘Tulip Season’ that celebrates our award-winning products and heritage with our community.
Using upcycled tulips from our farm, we discovered the Proprietary Tulip Complex as the new power flower in beauty. Backed by two Dutch government grants in research, our mission was to discover which compounds are responsible for this regeneration and identify skin beneficial ingredients.
