Emma Lewisham was born from a pivotal conversation Emma had with her doctor following the loss of her mother to cancer and her desire to start a family. Reflecting on her health and the products she was using, Emma sought natural, evidence-based skincare that wouldn't compromise on luxury or performance.
Inspired by Nobel Prize winner Frances H. Arnold's belief that nature is "the best bioengineer in history," Emma set out to create skincare that harnessed the power of nature while delivering high performance. Through her research, Emma realised that traditional skincare, often focused on one or two key ingredients, limited the potential of what products could achieve. She partnered with scientists and a physiologist to create a new formulation methodology, the Physiology Synchrony Unlock MethodTM, which aims to mirror the skin's natural processes for superior, long-term results.
Emma Lewisham's approach blends up to 25 evidence-based ingredients to activate multiple skin pathways in harmony.
This skin physiology-first approach has been recognised by experts, including a Nobel Prize winner in physiology, for its innovation and efficacy. As a result, our products are suitable for all skin types, even sensitive skin, and target both immediate concerns and long-term skin health.

At Emma Lewisham, we believe in taking responsibility for everything we produce, offering refills for every product as well as bringing back empty packaging to be sterilised and refilled through our industry-leading circularity programme, the Emma Lewisham BeautyCircle. Our refills reduce carbon emissions by up to 74% and have, to date, mitigated over 100 tonnes of carbon emissions.
As a registered B Corporation and the world's first certified Climate Positive and 100% circular skincare brand, Emma Lewisham is championing the transition to a more sustainable beauty industry. These pioneering sustainability achievements garnered a personal endorsement from United Nations Messenger of Peace and ethologist, Dr. Jane Goodall.
