When Franchesca Hashim and Alexandra Spunt met and became close, working as a creative-marketing power duo at fashion brand Everlane—they didn’t realize that the seed for Good Weather Skin had already been planted for each.
Franchesca, who had recently had twin girls, was trying to switch her beauty routine to cleaner products. But when it came to sunscreen, she struggled to find one that worked for her skin tone. Alexandra, who had co-authored a book about clean beauty (No More Dirty Looks, Da Capo Press) earlier in her career after a wake-up call of her own, had long been dissatisfied with clean SPF options—but she especially struggled to recommend one to her friend that didn’t leave a terrible cast.
The more they talked about it, the more they realized the sunscreen industry was woefully behind in giving women what they actually wanted. So they set out to create something exceptional: clean mineral sunscreen products that performed like skincare, offering a truly pleasurable application experience, and actually enhancing skin appearance when used.
