Susanne Norwitz is the founder and formulator of Maya Chia. She always had a passion for skincare, and as a clean beauty enthusiast, felt that advances in marketing were often unaccompanied by advances in efficacy. Consumers were longing for products with real ingredients and real results, so Susanne set out to create a game-changing line that redefined clean beauty standards. Having spent childhood witnessing her father’s philanthropic cleft palate correction efforts in Guatemala, and adulthood loving her two stepchildren (both born in Guatemala), she was not unfamiliar with the Chia Seed’s power and importance to Mayan Culture. However, when Susanne discovered the unprecedented benefits of Chia Seed Oil in skincare--it paved the way for Maya Chia's inception.
