Born by the beach in sunny Brighton (a FABULOUS beach side town in the UK), we’ve spent hours watching the waves go by. It’s this constant connection with Mother Nature and the importance of protecting her precious resources that inspired our planet-friendly skincare. 

Driven by our founder’s 15 year journey in the beauty industry and her constant frustration with how little is really being done to protect the planet. She figured the only way to make a change is to prove it can be done and so we got to work to create the most sustainable skincare brand possible. 

My Skin Feels is an award-winning natural skincare brand made from rescued food including the by-products of tomato ketchup, olive oil, breakfast oats and orange juice, saving it from going in the trash and using up resources that would otherwise go to waste. We don’t believe in over-complicated routines, instead, we focus on multitasking products that do the job, with better ingredients, better ethics and less impact on the planet. 

We’re all about doing what’s best for Mother Nature, but we want to do right by you too. Our products are not designed to change how you look, but we want to change how you feel. We know that when you feel better within yourself, the better you can be to others and in turn you’ve got more to give to the planet too. 

We like to think of ourselves as a ‘conscious skincare’ brand but really, we’re here to bring a little joy to your day using ingredients that really work for your skin and help the planet to feel good too. 

Part of the founding Charlotte Tilbury Beauty team, Danielle Close started her career as a makeup artist working with Team Tilbury backstage and with Charlotte to create her brand. After traveling the world with Tilbury and working with corporate beauty giants, celebrities, and brands including Mac and Tom Ford, Danielle went on to explore the other side of the industry, working with brands that focused on natural ingredients, earth-friendly formulas, and purpose-led products that aligned with her values and beliefs. 

Passionate about skincare as a way to incorporate daily self-care and with over 15 years of experience in the beauty and wellness industries, she understood how confusing, saturated, and negative it can be and knew it was time for a shakeup. 

She believes beauty can do better and sustainability shouldn't be an afterthought. It's about changing mindsets, about making a serious subject fun, non-judgmental and just a natural part of a brand. 

My Skin Feels launched with two products on purpose. They're all about a less is more approach. They use a unique blend of fermented rescued food including the by-products of tomato ketchup, olive oil, breakfast oats and orange juice to leave the skin feeling healthy, happy and unbelievably balanced.

Both products are for everyone, for all ages and are designed to help customers feel good. My Skin Feels is not about changing how you look, it's about changing how you feel. They know that the better you can be to yourself, the better you can show up for others and most importantly the plant.

It's incredibly imporant to us that we do business right and for us that means giving back as much as we put in. We are working on getting certified by a number of associations including BCorp, The Vegan Society and COSMOS.
