our mission
Flower Healing

Our mission is to harness the alchemy of energy through the highest quality, natural ingredients, and luxurious scents. Founded by Amy Christiansen, Sana Jardin is more than just a perfume brand; it's a movement dedicated to creating positive social impact while delivering exceptional fragrances.

At the heart of Sana Jardin is the concept of the alchemy of energy. This ancient philosophy focuses on harnessing the vibrational energy of flowers to promote emotional and spiritual well-being. Each Sana Jardin fragrance is meticulously crafted using ethically sourced, natural ingredients known for their high-frequency vibrations and healing properties.

Our scents are designed to not only delight the senses but also to elevate the spirit and nurture the soul. Our fragrances are designed to evoke emotions, inspire memories, and transform everyday moments into rituals of self-care. Every bottle is a testament to the beauty and power of nature, infused with the spirit of adventure and discovery.

Brand Story

Amy Christiansen, a passionate advocate for social change and sustainability, founded Sana Jardin with a vision to revolutionize the fragrance industry. Her journey began with a deep appreciation for the healing properties of flowers and the power of scent to uplift and transform. With years of experience working in philanthropy, Amy saw an opportunity to combine her love for fragrances with her commitment to empowering marginalized communities.

"I have long thought business can be a vehicle for social change and I saw luxury perfume as the opportunity to economically empower women hidden at the bottom of the supply chain, through commerce not charity.

I have been motivated to help lower income people in need since I was a little girl, which is why I became a direct practice social worker. I worked on the west side of Chicago with struggling families and individuals, and soon realised I could have a greater impact if I focused on helping these groups on an institutional level by enabling them to access jobs, education and financial opportunity.

I grew up travelling with my grandmother and she sort of tucked me in her suitcase wherever she went, so I grew up with the heady scents of North Africa and the Middle East, and ones that are more mainstream like Orange Blossom, Jasmine and Amber. Despite this passion for scents I was struggling to find the perfect product that was representative of the smells from my travels.

Additionally, I sit on the board of an organisation in New York called Nest, which is working to make supply chains more ethical and transparent. I saw the movement towards more honest fashion supply chain, and I felt like if we could do this in fashion, then why not in beauty? Why not do it in perfume?

With this in mind, it felt right that my training and my passion could marry, and Sana Jardin was born."

Beyond Sustainability
Sana Jardin is proud to be a pioneer in sustainable and socially responsible luxury. Our Beyond Sustainability model goes beyond traditional fair trade practices by empowering local communities in our supply chain. We work closely with female harvesters in Morocco, providing them with opportunities for economic independence through entrepreneurial programs. By purchasing a Sana Jardin fragrance, you are directly contributing to the livelihoods of these women and supporting sustainable agriculture.

The Sana Jardin Cooperative in Tiddas, Morocco was founded in 2017 by local female flower harvesters. In collaboration with Sana Jardin, this initiative empowers women to achieve financial independence while fostering sustainable business growth. The cooperative recycles agricultural waste to create a line of candles and dried flower sachets and has since expanded their product line to include embroidery, a Moroccan heritage craft.

The Sana Jardin Accelerator Program in partnership with Nest

Launched in 2024 in collaboration with the global artisan NGO Nest, this program provides women with entrepreneurship training, market access, and access to capital. The accelerator partners women with industry professionals in order to foster a supportive community and tailored mentorship. The first cohort saw five cooperatives take part in the training and receive grants, they included Cooperative Art Design of Marrakech, Cooperative Tifout, Cooperative Iffasen, Cooperative Angouan, and Tagmoussi Weaving Center at The Eve Branson Foundation.  Applications for our next accelerator cohort will open in Spring 2025.

United Nations Sustainable Development Goals

We are proud to contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals for 2030, to empower women (goal 5), promote sustainable economic growth with full, productive employment (goal 8), and ensure sustainable production practices (goal 12). By purchasing a Sana Jardin fragrance, you are directly contributing to the livelihoods of rural women and supporting sustainable development.
